PUBLIC NOTICE
The Public in general and the stakeholders including the students of National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), Chandigarh in particular are informed that due to devastating fire which broke out at about 4:25 p.m on 08th June, 2014 (Sunday), the building in which NIELIT Chandigarh (erstwhile RCC / DOEACC ) was situated has collapsed due to which all Computer Systems, other infrastructure which includes Computers, Printer, UPS Systems, Air Conditioning Plant, Furniture, Telephone and Intercom, Networking System, entire record relating to the Training courses of students, NPR project awarded by RGI, NCPUL Project, Electricity and Water Billing Projects of PSPCL, UT Billing Chandigarh, UHBVN, HP School Project and other Projects have been completely destroyed. The Software and entire data relating to students and projects being undertaken by the centre have also destroyed. Managing Director, NIELIT, Director In-charge, NIELIT Chandigarh and other Authorities are making all out efforts to restore the services at the earliest. Information in this regard will be uploaded on the website of the centre, www.nielitchd.in. It is expected that the Centre will start working to its full capacity soon. The public and the stake holders are requested to bear with us in these hours of grief.
